A mail-in service for the DIY DJs among us who want to handle the full turntable install themselves.

This service gives you a simple way to send individual parts for professional rebuilds and repair of the following:

Tonearm rebuilds
Pitch slider refurbishment
Pop-up / Target light assembly refurbishment
Operation base rebuilds

How it works:

Safely package your parts and send them to me using your preferred courier (Royal Mail, DPD, etc.).
I’ll carry out the requested work to a high standard.
I’ll return your parts promptly via APC courier (at an additional cost)

Complete Tonearm Rebuild Service

The tonearm is fully stripped down and thoroughly deep cleaned. The height adjustment, which commonly seizes, shall be fully serviced.

The tonearm pivots, S-bend tube and headshell socket connector are hand polished. The height adjuster ring, tonearm base and assembly base are re-greased prior to reassembly.

If you're experiencing skipping or playback issues, this service will resolve them.

Pricing:

Labour: £50.00 per tonearm
S-bend tonearm tube: £35.00 each
Bearings: £10.00 each (maximum of 4x bearings per arm) horizontal bearings are rarely required)
Audio PCB replacement: £8.00 each
Upgraded internal tonearm wiring: £30.00 per tonearm
Aftermarket audio cable replacement: £30.00 each
OEM specification grounding cable: £5.00 each
Aftermarket cable clamping mount: £15.00 each
Replacement rest clip: £8.00 each

Please note: this does not include any form of respray work, this is purely a rebuild, service and replacement/repair of the parts listed above.

In some cases audio related issues can be caused by corrosion of the spring loaded pins within the connector socket, if this is the case then an aftermarket socket shall be required (additional costs shall be discussed if this part is required)

Its also worth noting that if bearing replacements are required, in some instances the pivot position may sit visibly lower within the locking ring on top of the tonearm bracket.

Pitch slider refurbishment/rebuild

If your pitch slider movement feels scratchy or has lost that smooth action, but you’re happy with its current functionality, this service is for you.

The original carbon track board is carefully removed, gently cleaned and lubricated, then installed into a brand new aftermarket housing fitted with fresh grease, new brushes and a new stem. This restores a brand new feel to the slider while keeping your original carbon track.

The pitch PCB and potentiometer are thoroughly cleaned, and the potentiometer is set back to your existing calibration values so your current settings remain untouched. All solder points are reflowed, and the original LED is reinstalled if it’s in good condition.

Important Note:

This service renews the physical feel of your pitch slider while preserving your original carbon track and calibration settings. It is only suitable if you are 100% happy with the current functionality of the pitch control.

Pop-up / Target Light Refurbishment/rebuild

After many years of use, the pop up/turret assembly may experience issues and require attention.

If the original lamp has finally blown, the turrent/cover is cosmetically in poor condition or are now experiencing harsh fast movement when operating the lamp, this is a great cost effective service.

The entire pop-up/turret assembly shall be stripped down and thoroughly deep cleaned. The internal shaft shall then be re-greased, and the original lamp will be replaced with an upgraded SMD warm white LED and the correct current-limiting resistor for proper brightness and longevity.

Replacement microswitch: £5.00 each
Replacement aftermarket turret cover: £15.00 each
Custom made LED wiring harness + SMD warm white LED upgrade: £20.00 each

Operation base Refurbishment/rebuild (On/Off, 33, 45 assembly)

If you are experiencing sticky buttons while switching speed, its hard to press the start/stop button, dull strobe lighting or a freely rotating on/off switch, then this service will resolve these issues.

The first step shall involve complete disassembly of the operation base and carefully removing each component. once apart, the operation base itself shall be deep cleaned to remove many years worth of dirt and grime.

Start/stop external switch shall be cleaned, 33 and 45 switches shall be cleaned, on/off switch and stem shall be clean, strobe tower shall be cleaned + polished, PCB shall be cleaned.
