Please note: tonearm bearing replacement is not included in any standard service package and is assessed individually based on the condition of each component.
The suitability of bearing replacement depends on the overall health of the tonearm, including:
If the plastic central section holding the S-bend tube is cracked or damaged, a full tonearm replacement will be necessary. The most cost-effective genuine replacement currently available is the MK7 tonearm assembly — though please be aware, this isn’t a budget fix.
While bearings can be replaced and will restore smooth operation, for true high-fidelity precision—especially with regards to anti-skating—a complete tonearm assembly is the recommended solution, particularly for audiophiles and Hi-Fi setups.

At Just Technics, we've vinyl wrapped hundreds of Technics 1200/1210 plinths—a fantastic, cost-effective way to transform and refresh the appearance of your decks without the high price of a full respray.
This is not a pre-cut skin kit. Each plinth wrap is individually hand-cut from rolled 3M vinyl using Swan Morton surgical blades, ensuring a tailored finish that fits perfectly.
The platter, on/off switch, and 45 adapter vinyl components are machine-cut for precision.
We no longer offer plinth paint/coating removal.
If your turntable plinths are in poor cosmetic condition (e.g., heavy corrosion, deep chips, or extensive damage), a full respray may be a better option.
In such cases, we highly recommend reaching out to our friends over at Pimp My Decks, who offer professional respray services.
We do NOT service or repair anything other than the Technics SL-1200/1210 range of turntables.
Any emails received regarding the repair or servicing of any other product shall be ignored.
